The bull disappeared and reappeared in five body parts which are located at different places, currently called as Panch Kedars. The hump of the bull is in Kedarnath, the arms are in Tungnath, stomach in Madhyamaheshwar and head and hair in Kalpeshwar. As per the legends the face of the lord shiva embodied mysteriously on a Shivling at Rudranath Temple.

  • By Air – The nearest airport to Rudranath Temple is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. Lord Rudranath Temple is located in Gopeshwar-Kedarnath Road. you will get a taxi or buses from Dehradun to Gopeshwar.
  • By Train– Rishikesh, Haridwar and Kedarnath all have railheads to reach Rudranath Temple as it is located on Gopeshwar-Kedarnath Road. The nearest railhead from Gopeshwar is Rishikesh. Taxis and Buses are available from Rishikesh to reach Gopeshwar.
