Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand is one of the most sacred Hindu pilgrimages in India. Every Year pilgrims undertake Char Dham Yatra to embrace the spiritual whirlwind within. This yatra is also known as Chota Char Dham. The sacred sites are Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath temples. According to Hindu ancient beliefs, by visiting the Char Dham, one becomes free from the karmic backlog of birth and death. The inner peace and happiness attained by this sacred journey is the reason why devotees leave all their tasks and get ready for Char Dham Yatra. Day 01: Delhi – Haridwar (230 Kms / 6-7 Hrs)
- Upon your arrival in Delhi, you will meet our representative at the airport or railway station & drive towards Haridwar.
- On arrival at Haridwar, check in at your pre booked hotel.
- Haridwar or ‘the Gateway to the Gods’ is one of the seven holiest places according to Hindu mythology, as the Gods are believed to have left their footprints in Haridwar.
- Visit Har-Ki-Pauri, the sacred Ghat was constructed by King Vikramaditya in the memory of his brother Bhartrihari.
- The golden reflection of floral diyas in the river Ganges is the most enchanting sight in the twilight during the Ganga Aarti ceremony at the ghat.
- Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02: Haridwar – Barkot (170 Kms / 6-7 Hrs)
- Today after breakfast drive to Barkot via Dehradun, Mussoorie, and en-route visit Kempty fall.
- Barkot is a place of great scenic beauty with spectacular views of snow-capped mountains all around.
- A magnificent view of the eternal snow peaks of Bandar punch can be seen from here.
- Upon arrival, check in at your pre booked hotel.
- Rest of the day is at leisure.
- Overnight stay at hotel or camp.
Day 03: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (One Way – Drive: 45 Kms/ 2 Hrs | Trek: 5 Kms / 3 Hrs)
- After an early breakfast, proceed to Visit Yamunotri Dham to visit the temple of Goddess Yamuna.
- Drive to Janki Chatti via Syanachatti. From Janki Chatti start the trek to Yamunotri.
- Take a holy dip in the nearby tank filled by hot springs and cook rice in its water, the common rituals performed by the devotees.
- Return to Barkot hotel or camp for overnight stay.
Day 04: Barkot – Uttarkashi (85 Kms / 3-4 Hrs)
- After breakfast drive to Uttarkashi – situated on the banks of river Bhagirathi.
- Uttarkashi is famous for its historical monuments, Temples & Ashrams.
- On reaching Uttarkashi, check in to hotel.
- Later visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple – one of the oldest & sacred temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 05: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (One Way Drive – 97 Kms / 3-4 Hrs)
- After breakfast, drive to Gangotri Dham.
- On arrival take a holy dip in the sacred River The Ganges, also called Bhagirathi at its origin.
- Perform Pooja and relax in the lovely surrounding.
- One of the prominent shrines in Gangotri, Gangotri Temple – dedicated to Goddess Ganga.
- Gangotri Temple is positioned near the sacred stone known as BhagirathShila – where the king Bhagirath paid his homage to Lord Shiva.
- Later, drive to Uttarkashi for overnight stay.
Day 06: Uttarkashi – Guptkashi (220 Kms / 7-8 Hrs)
- Morning after breakfast drive to Guptkashi.
- En-route visit Tehri Dam & continue journey towards Guptkashi.
- On reaching check in at the Camp/hotel.
- Spend the evening at leisure.
- Overnight stay at hotel/Camp.
Day 07: Guptkashi – Kedarnath
- Early morning (5:00 AM) go to helipad at Phata or Guptakashi and take flight to Kedarnath.
- Or leave for Gaurikund to commence the trek to Kedarnath. Or hire the pony / Doli to cover the trekking distance.
- On reaching pay visit to Kedarnath Darshan and Special Pooja.
- Overnight stay at the Hotel/Camp.
Day 08: Kedarnath – Guptkashi
- Early morning visit Kedarnath temple & return to Gaurikund.
- From Gaurikund, drive to Guptkashi.
- Spend the evening at leisure.
- Dinner & overnight stay at hotel/camp.
Day 09:Guptkashi – Badrinath (200 Kms / 7-8 Hrs)
- After breakfast drive to Badrinath Dham via Joshimath – one of the most beautiful sites on the whole trip.
- Enjoy the beautiful drive through the medicinal forest.
- Upon arrival, check in at your pre booked hotel / camp in Badrinath.
- Evening visit Badrinath Temple for Darshan, Aarti & Pooja.
- Before Darshan, first go to TaptKund (Hot Spring), take bath and then go to the temple.
- Overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 10: Badrinath – Rudraprayag (160 Kms / 06 Hrs)
- Early morning visit Badrinath Temple for Darshan.
- Return to Badrinath hotel for breakfast.
- After breakfast, visit Mana Village – The last village of India before the Mana Pass and is 24 kilometers from the border of India and Tibet.
- Later, drive to Rudraprayag via Karnaprayag.
- See the holy confluence of river Alaknanda & Pindari at Karnaprayag and Alakhnanda & Mandakini at Rudraprayag.
- Upon arrival, check in at your pre booked hotel.
- Overnight stay at hotel in Rudraprayag.
Day 11:Rudraprayag – Rishikesh – Haridwar (165 Kms / 05 Hrs)
- After breakfast, drive to Haridwar via Rishikesh.
- Rishikesh is not just known for its religious connection, but also for its stunning landscape.
- Visit the LakshmanJhula – a suspended bridge across the Ganga.
- Later, drive to Haridwar.
- Upon arrival, check in at your pre booked hotel.
- Overnight stay at Haridwar.
Day 11:Haridwar – Delhi Drop
- Morning drive to Delhi.
Upon arrival in Delhi transfer to the Airport / Railway station for onwards destination.
