  • By Air: The nearest airport to Dharamshala is Gaggal Airport, also known as Kangra Airport. It is located about 15 kilometres away from the city. Several domestic airlines operate regular flights to Gaggal Airport from major cities like Delhi and Chandigarh. From the airport, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Dharamshala.
  • By Road: Dharamshala is well-connected by road, and you can reach there by bus or taxi from nearby cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, and Pathankot. Delhi is 500 Km from Dharamshala. You can take a direct bus from Delhi’s Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) or hire a taxi which will take you 10-12 hours, depending on the traffic and road conditions. Dharamshala is approximately 250 kilometres away from Chandigarh. Regular bus services and taxis are available from Chandigarh to Dharamshala. From Pathankot, you can travel by train, hire a taxi or take a bus to Dharamshala, a journey that takes around 3-4 hours.
