Day 01: Arrival in Kochi
Upon your arrival in Kochi, you will be warmly greeted by our representative and escorted to your hotel for a two-night stay. Your adventure begins in the early evening with a delightful cruise around Kochi Harbour. As the Kochi Lagoon merges into the Arabian Sea, you’ll get a unique view of the iconic Chinese fishing nets of Fort Kochi. Following the cruise, enjoy a welcome dinner, providing a wonderful opportunity to meet and mingle with your fellow travelers.

Day 02: Exploring Kochi
Embark on a half-day sightseeing tour of Kochi, starting with the historic Paradesi Synagogue, the oldest active synagogue in India, located in the city’s Jewish quarter. Continue your exploration with a visit to the Dutch Palace, originally built by the Portuguese in the 16th century. In the evening, immerse yourself in Kerala’s vibrant culture with an optional Kathakali dance performance. Go behind the scenes to observe the meticulous preparation of the elaborate makeup and costumes before witnessing the captivating dance performance.

Day 03: Journey to Munnar
After a leisurely breakfast, depart for the hill station of Munnar, a journey of approximately four hours. Situated at 1,600 meters above sea level, Munnar was once a summer retreat for the British government in southern India. The afternoon is yours to relax or visit the Srishti Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to supporting people with special needs and their families in Munnar.

Day 04: Discovering Munnar’s Tea Heritage
Dive into the rich history of tea in Munnar today. Begin with a visit to a local tea plantation, where you’ll observe the tea-picking process and chat with the tea pickers about their daily routines.
Next, visit the Tea Museum to learn about the evolution of tea in India and Munnar’s contribution to the industry, including the stages of tea processing, particularly black tea. End the day with a tea-tasting session at a local café.

Day 05: Munnar to Thekkady
Enjoy a relaxed morning before setting off for Thekkady, a journey of about four hours. Nestled in the Western Ghats, Thekkady is your gateway to the renowned Periyar National Park.
This evening, attend a local theater to witness a Kalaripayattu performance, an ancient martial art that embodies the region’s cultural heritage through a blend of physical agility, treatment techniques, and combat skills.

Day 06: Exploring Thekkady
Today focuses on the natural beauty and wildlife of the region. Start with an early morning guided walk through Periyar National Park, where you’ll spot various bird and wildlife species.
After a hearty breakfast back at the hotel, a local naturalist will guide you through a spice plantation tour. Discover how spices like cardamom, pepper, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla are grown and harvested.
The afternoon and evening are free for you to relax by the pool or explore the area further.

Day 07: Thekkady to Kumarakom
One of the highlights of your Kerala journey is a traditional houseboat cruise through the famous backwaters. Drive to Alleppey, about four hours from Thekkady, to board the houseboat.
Enjoy a leisurely cruise through the tranquil waterways, including lunch on board.
Later, continue to Kumarakom, your base for the next two nights, an hour’s drive away.

Day 08: Leisure in Kumarakom
Today is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Relax and make the most of the resort’s amenities. Consider visiting the Ayurveda Centre for a rejuvenating treatment. In the evening, gather with your group for a delightful dinner.

Day 09: Return to Kochi
