Day 01: Arrival in Amritsar
Welcome to Amritsar! Upon your arrival, a Bon Travel India representative will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Known as the spiritual heart of Sikhism, Amritsar radiates a sense of generosity and faith. Spend the afternoon relaxing at your hotel. In the evening, witness the mesmerizing palki ceremony at the Golden Temple. This religious procession, filled with grandeur, showcases the temple’s stunning golden structure illuminated against the night sky.

Day 02: Discovering Amritsar
Start your day with a heritage walk through Amritsar’s old, narrow lanes, where banyan trees intertwine with crumbling havelis. Explore bustling bazaars offering wedding bangles, traditional utensils, and local literature. Visit the Golden Temple again, this time during the day to see pilgrims bathing in the sacred pool and the community kitchen serving thousands. Later, visit Jallianwala Bagh, a memorial garden honoring the victims of the 1919 massacre. In the evening, head to the India-Pakistan border for the vibrant border closing ceremony, complete with Bollywood music and energetic performances.

Day 03: Amritsar to Shimla
In the morning, transfer to Amritsar station to board the train to Ambala. Upon arrival, meet your Bon Travel India representative and drive to Shimla, a picturesque hill station in the Himalayas (approximately 4.5 hours). Enjoy the scenic views of pine-covered valleys as you settle into your hotel.

Day 04: Exploring Shimla
After breakfast, transfer to Shimla station for a ride on the famous Himalayan Queen toy train. The train journey descends approximately 2,400 feet, passing through cedar forests and picturesque landscapes before reaching Taradevi station. A driver will then take you back to Shimla for a short tour of the town, including a visit to the historic Viceregal Lodge. Stroll along Mall Road, Shimla’s main street, lined with charming Tudor-style buildings.

Day 05: Cultural Immersion in Shimla
Today, you have the option to relax or explore Shimla’s cultural heritage on a walking tour. The trail winds through meadows, brooks, and forests that inspired Rudyard Kipling, ending at an art gallery founded by the late local artist Sanath Chatterjee. Alternatively, unwind at your hotel’s spa, renowned for its herb-infused massages, perfect after a refreshing walk in the nearby forest.

Day 06: Shimla to Jaipur
Transfer to Chandigarh Airport (approximately 4 hours) for your flight to Jaipur. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Known as the Pink City, Jaipur is a photographer’s dream with its block printing, clay pottery, colorful temples, splendid palaces, and the imposing Amber Fort.

Day 07: Exploring Jaipur
Spend the morning exploring Jaipur independently or join a half-day tour of the City Palace, Palace of the Winds, and the Royal Observatory. In the afternoon, visit the UNESCO-listed Amber Fort, perched high on a hill surrounded by the Aravalli mountains. Wander through its cobbled paths, imposing ramparts, and elaborate halls. Day 08: Jaipur to Agra
