The Nubra Valley Trek is well-known for a number of reasons, one of them being its historical significance as a former Silk Road trading route that linked Ladakh with Central Asia. At 17,585 feet in height, the trek passes via the breathtaking Khardung La Pass, which is regarded as the highest motorable road in the world. The route also passes through the gorgeous Nubra Valley, sometimes referred to as the “valley of flowers” or Ldumra. Trekkers will see a variety of sceneries, from the broad stretches of open space to the slender valleys of Zanskar, starting at Sabu village (11,417 feet). Especially, the trek is mostly preferred in the months of July and August as the Manali-Leh and Srinagar-Leh highways are open for private vehicles. During this time, the climate approves of bright days and quiet evenings. The average temperature ranges between 20 and 30°C in the daytime. In the following winter months, it gets colder and the snow falls which would cover the entire area.
